About

Our mission is simple.  We pledge to hold accountable any elected official, government bureaucrat or anyone with access to taxpayer funds who adds to our children’s debt or unwisely spends our money.  Every dollar government takes is a dollar that parents could use to provide for their children.

A message to elected officials:  Our bucks stop with you.  Spend it wisely.  We will hold you accountable.

    Dear Mother’s against Debt,
I work for the Ari David for congress campaign out in California. Ari David is running for congress in the 30th district against Henry Waxman. Yes, that is correct! I know you will find that you and Ari have a lot in common! I would love to set up an interview with you and Ari. Please let me know if this is possible and what time would work. You can reach me at helengoff100@gmail.com or 310-625-0880.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Warmly,

This morning I heard you promote a balanced budget amendment on Fox News. While I sympathize with your goal, I respectfully submit that a balanced budget amendment will not bring about a reduction in government spending, and it is out of control spending that is the real problem. I implore you to consider advocating adherence to the U.S. Constitution as it currently reads as a more practical approach to spending reduction and ultimately debt reduction.

The amendment process is very difficult. But more importantly, even if we the people were successful in promoting the adoption of such an amendment it would do no good. For proof look at the States with Constitutions that already require a balanced budget. To a greater or lesser extent those States still suffer huge tax burdens, and resultant financial chaos.

I think individual efforts to change the course of America are important, and should be applauded. However, advocating policies that are predestined to fail does not serve the purpose of either fiscal responsibility or freedom in general.

Thank you for your work on behalf of all of us. Good luck in the future.

    Federal Debt = Generational Theft
It is that simple. Stop Debt! “Do it for the children!” After all these years of detesting that slogan to justify all manner of liberal b.s. we get to use it for something useful.

    A good idea….actually, a great idea!!!

    Congressional Reform Act of 2011

The 27th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971…before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc. Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land…all because of public pressure. I’m asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.

    Congressional Reform Act of 2011

    1. Term Limits. 12 years only, one of the possible options below

    A. Two Six-year Senate terms

    B. Six Two-year House terms

    C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

    2. No Tenure / No Pension

A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

    3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately.

All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

    4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

    5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

    6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

    7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

    8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11. The American people did not

make those contracts with Congressmen. Congressmen made all those contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. Maybe it is time.

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!! If you agree with the above, pass it on. You are one of my 20+. Please keep it going.

“‎About 1 percent of all Americans are millionaires. In Congress, that number regularly hovers between 40 percent and 50 percent, meaning elected leaders generally need not worry about the economic pressures many Americans face – from securing gainful employment to grappling with keeping a family financially afloat. Decide for yourself if these congressional millionaires are adequately representing your financial interests.” – OPENSECRETS.ORG
